The "Small short-lavalliere Square End" is a smaller version of the "Short-lavalliere Square End", and it is not a shape that can be made with a self tied bow tie. Historically, it can be confirmed that it was also used for men from the late nineteenth century.

 

Also, as a neckwear for women in Victorian era (1837-1901), it seems to have been a general design. Even in modern times, it is adopted as a uniform neckwear for women and schoolgirls. Therefore is a well-known shape in Japan.

歴史・流行 --------

スクエアエンドの｢スモール・ショート形ラバリエール｣は、｢ショート形ラバリエール｣をさらに小型化した形です。｢作り結びタイプ｣のボウタイでのみ作ることのできるシルエットです。歴史的に19世紀後半から男性用としても存在していたことは確認できます。

 

また、ヴィクトリア期(1837年〜1901年)の女性向けネックウェアとしては、特別珍しくはないデザインだったと推測されます。現代においても、日本の会社の女性社員や女子学生のためのユニフォームとして採用されており、特に日本ではよく知られた形です。
