オブリークエンド形は、先端が斜めにカットされた形を意味します。スタンダード オブリークエンド形はその中の１つで、スタンダードバタフライ形の先端を斜めにカットした時の形とも言えます。当ブランドでは、オブリークエンド形の手結び蝶ネクタイもデザインしました。
今のところ、歴史的に同じ形を私達は見つけていませんが、近年ではシドニーのメーカーが、予めカーブにカッティングされたタイプの｢オブリークエンド形 手結び蝶ネクタイ｣を作っているようです。
蝶ネクタイでは、ウエスタン オブリークエンド形やドロップボウノット オブリークエンド形のような、リボンタイとも呼ばれる形に取り入れられて来ました。ネックウェア全体の歴史から見ると、オブリークエンド形はよく使われて来ました。
オブリークエンド形の｢結び下げネクタイ(Four-in-hand tie)｣は、｢カットタイ(Knife cut tie)｣などと呼ばれ、かなり少数派ですが生産されて来ました。フランスのファッションデザイナー、ティエリー・ミュグレーが1980年代に販売したネクタイは印象的です。
また、タキシード用に1960年代頃から普及した、クロスタイ(Crossover tie, Continetal tie)の先端の典型的な形状です。他にもアスコットタイやスカーフタイ、ボウタイブラウスのリボンなど、スクエアエンドとポインテッドエンドに次いで、ネックウェアで人気の先端形状と言えます。

The "Oblique-end" bow tie means a shape in which the tip is cut obliquely. The "Standard oblique-end" shape is one of them, and can be said to be the shape when the tip of the Standard butterfly is cut diagonally. We also designed the Oblique-end self-tie bow tie.
Historically, we have not seen any evidence that this shape existed as a bow tie design so far. But around 2011, it seems that one of Sydney's makers is making the pre-shaped self-tie bow tie.
In the bow tie design, it has been adopted in the shape called "Ribbon-tie" such as "Western oblique-end shape" and "Drop-bow-knot oblique-end" shape. Over the history of neckwear as a whole, the oblique-end shape has been used a lot.
The "four-in-hand tie" with an oblique-end tip are called "knife cut tie" and have been produced in a minority. The oblique-end ties sold by French fashion designer, Thierry Mugler in the 1980s is impressive.
It is also a typical shape of the tip of the Crossover tie or Continental tie, which has been popular since the 1960s as a black tie to match a tuxedo.
There are also "ascot tie", "scarf tie", "bowtie-blouse ribbon", etc., which are popular tip shapes for neckwear next to square-end and pointed-end.
