歴史的にこの｢手結び蝶ネクタイ｣は、クロスドボウノット スクエアエンド形と同様に、19世紀後半から生産されましたが、細幅のポインテッドエンドに関しては、｢手結び蝶ネクタイ｣により実際に結ばれていた場合が多かったと思われます。
